How this works
The fog top comes from about 2,000 MeteoSwiss forecast points on the Swiss Plateau and its rims, each with its altitude: where the late-morning forecast turns from fog to sun is the top of the fog sea. It follows every MeteoSwiss run, about hourly. The places come from the same forecasts, ranked by how much more sun they get than the city, after the travel time.
